‘STEVE JOBS’ Centerpiece Screening tijdens het 53ste New York Film Festival

Afgelopen zaterdag (3 oktober jl.) was de speciale Centerpiece vertoning van STEVE JOBS tijdens het New York Film Festival. Regisseur Danny Boyle, scenarioschrijver Aaron Sorkin en acteurs Michael Fassbender, Kate Winslet, Seth Rogen, Jeff Daniels, Katherine Waterston en Sarah Snook waren hierbij aanwezig.

Kent Jones (New York Film Festival Director en Selection Committee Chair): “You hear that a bio of Steve Jobs is being produced, and of course you see multiple possible movies in your head . . . but not this one. Steve Jobs is dramatically concentrated, yet beautifully expansive; it’s extremely sharp; it’s wildly entertaining, and the actors just soar—you can feel their joy as they bite into their material.”

Danny Boyle: “I am honored that our film has been selected as the Centerpiece of this year’s festival. And thrilled and terrified too, unlike the subject of our film, who would have taken the whole thing very much in his stride. Steve Jobs was a thoroughly contradictory and complex character who forged our digital age. He’s the kind of brilliant, flawed character that Shakespeare would have relished writing about, and storytellers of all kinds will be fashioning and re-fashioning the mythology of the digital revolution for generations to come. I hope that festivalgoers enjoy our take.”

‘STEVE JOBS’ OPENT LEIDEN INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL

Op 30 oktober a.s. opent STEVE JOBS de tiende editie van het Leiden International Film Festival. De film zal hiermee zijn Nederlandse première in Leiden hebben. Het Leiden International Film Festival vindt plaats van 30 oktober tot en met 8 november.

De film is een intiem portret van genie Steve Paul Jobs, CEO en oprichter van Apple, gespeeld door Michael Fassbender. STEVE JOBS neemt ons mee achter de schermen van de digitale revolutie met een lancering van drie iconische producten, eindigend met de onthulling van de iMac in 1998.
