MELISSA MCCARTHY ONTVANGT ‘MTV COMEDIC GENIUS AWARD’

Melissa McCarthy (THE BOSS) zal tijdens de MTV Movie Awards de Comedic Genius Award ontvangen. Ze is de derde persoon – en eerste vrouw – die deze award in ontvangst mag nemen, Will Ferrell ontving deze prijs in 2013 en Kevin Hart in 2015.

Casey Patterson, executive producer MTV Movie Awards: “Honoring Melissa McCarthy with ‘MTV’s Comedic Genius Award’ is exciting on so many levels, it’s the first time this award is going to a woman which is fantastic. We love Melissa for her performances but she also writes, produces and directs comedy, so this award is incredibly well deserved. The most exciting thing about Melissa is how brave she is, you don’t want to miss her moment in the show.”
